(Redwood National Park)<p>Hey guys,</p> <p>Figured I’d do a post since we haven’t done one in a while.A few days ago the boys and I finished the first week and half of the Wildlife tour in Portland, OR. So camp LD, Balance and Composure, Sainthood Reps, and Mike from All Get Out Â decided to do a bit of sightseeing on our first day off. Derrick from Sainthood Reps and myself mapped out a routing that would take us down Highway 101 along the Pacific and end at the Prairie Creek hiking trail at the Redwood National Park.</p> <p>We swam in the Pacific, climbed rocks, saw 300 foot trees, and completed a 4 mile hike. Truly one of my favorite days in recent memory. Here’s a sneak peek of some photos I grabbed. As always there’s still a lot of work to do in these short 2 days before we take off, but I just wanted to take a moment to fill everyone in on something new we’ll have with us.</p> <p>We spent the majority of yesterday afternoon/evening at Jordan’s house assembling and hand packaging various things (mostly new, and pretty neat we think) into a packet of sorts, with hopes of selling these new things to you on tour. The best part about it of course, is that if you choose to purchase said things, your money is going to an incredible organization called <a href="http://www.826michigan.org/" target="_blank">826michigan</a>. Whatever.</p> <p>Whatever it is you’re doing, whether it be alone or with company, I hope it’s treating you well. I, for one, just watched Home Alone with my family, or a portion of my family (some siblings have families of their own now), and I’m feeling pretty great. Anyway. To the point!</p> <p>In the spirit of the holiday (I’m not 100% sure what that means exactly, but it’s a nice excuse), we and our friends at No Sleep have once again decided to gift any and all interested parties with our entire discography from <em>Vancouver </em>to <em>Wildlife </em>on a free/donation basis starting at midnight EST time tonight until midnight EST tomorrow. That’s 24 hours of free/donation-based downloads of every piece of recorded and released material from our however-many-years of recording and releasing material.</p> <p>Of course, if you are at all able (we know not everybody will be) we kindly request any possible donation you can afford in exchange but we do not require a minimum. If you’re broke and you want the songs, by all means go for it. If you’ve never heard our band and you’re curious but don’t want to give your hard-cashed legal tender to a band you don’t know, by all means go for it. If you like our band but feel that art is no ones property and should be exchanged freely over the internet for no fee than absolutely go for it. The option is there. And of course, homework of all kinds too.</em></p> <p><em>All of our programs are challenging and enjoyable, and ultimately strengthen each studentâs power to express ideas effectively, creatively, confidently, and in his or her individual voice. By “we” I mean Chad, Kevin, and myself. Vass is in Boston and Jordan is still on the west coast somewhere. The point is, I guess, that tour is over. Mixed emotions across the board as we’ve become really close to our new friends in the other bands. As it often goes though, all good things must come to an end, and a break with family and friends is a healthy antidote to the ‘ol post-tour blues.</p> <p>Huge thank-you’s and love to <a href="http://www.thrice.net/" target="_blank">Thrice</a> and their lovely crew for taking us. Some of the kindest and most down to earth people we’ve had the pleasure of touring with. Same goes for <a href="http://www.movmou.com/wordpress/" target="_blank">Moving Mountains</a>, <a href="http://www.beneathyourgardenwindow.com/" target="_blank">O’Brother</a>, and the <a href="http://www.invisiblechildren.com/" target="_blank">Invisible Children</a> folks.
